Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD and Civil3D software is strongly preferred.
Successful candidates will possess the proven ability to assess and recommend best‑case civil engineering solutions and collaborate with higher‑level non‑civil engineers and other project stakeholders in solving civil engineering related challenges in consideration of safety, performance, cost, constructability, risk, and liability.
Travel (~10%) is required and will consist of trips to the field to diagnose civil engineering issues related to electric transmission lines and substations. Field assignments are generally within a five‑hour driving distance of the assigned office location. Hours are Monday through Friday, eight hours per day. Some overtime may be required, as approved.
Compensation: $115,000‑$155,000

Minimum Requirements Engineer Sr ($115,000 - $135,000):
Six (6) or more years of related engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program; or four (4) years of related engineering experience and a master’s or PhD in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
Engineer Principal ($135,000 - $155,000):
Eight (8) or more years of related engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET‑accredited program; or six (6) years of related engineering experience and a master’s or PhD in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is required for the Engineer Principal level unless a waiver is granted by the organization’s EVP.
Acceptable education alternatives are:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (non‑ABET) plus a Master’s or PhD in civil engineering from a university with an ABET‑accredited bachelor’s program.
ABET – Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
ABET accredited program requirement may be waived at the discretion of VP or Executive level and above based on relevant qualifications and experience.
