Senior Process Engineer
Base pay range: $166,000 – $176,000 annually Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite) Senior Process Engineer – EPC & Chemical Systems (Onsite – Greenville, SC) We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to design efficient and safe chemical and industrial process systems for a leading EPC firm. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required) 5+ years of process engineering or design engineering experience (required) Proficient in HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar simulation tools (required) Strong understanding of industry standards, safety codes, and engineering best practices Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills What You’ll Do: Collaborate with clients, engineers, and designers to develop and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and heat/material balances. Perform process simulations using HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or Pro/II to improve system performance. Specify and select process equipment including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and reactors. Lead and participate in process safety reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, and PHA. Support plant start‑ups, troubleshoot process issues, and provide technical guidance to operations teams. Assist with project proposals, technical reports, and design documentation.
