Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Firmware Test Engineer to join our Fort Lauderdale team and work on cutting‑edge embedded technologies that power our next‑generation products. You'll collaborate with software and hardware teams to validate firmware functionality, ensure robust system performance, and help deliver high‑quality solutions to market. Responsibilities
Partner with product development teams to understand and validate firmware requirements.
Review design proposals and provide feedback to firmware engineers.
Participate in design, API, and test case reviews.
Translate product requirements into detailed firmware test scenarios and plans.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities across multiple projects.
Develop and maintain testing metrics and status reports.
Conduct performance testing to evaluate system scalability and responsiveness.
Log and track defects in JIRA, and perform regression testing on resolved issues.
Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Explore new tools and testing methodologies to enhance quality assurance.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Python or C for test scripting and automation.
Experience in firmware and embedded systems testing.
Strong manual testing skills with exposure to automation and hardware integration.
Familiarity with tools like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and LabVIEW.
Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases and plans.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in embedded environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
Knowledge of performance testing and system‑level validation.
Pay Range $50.00 - $57.69/hr
