About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota, and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic‑assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight‑loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
Responsibilities
Manages all hospital activities related to the Infection Prevention and Control Program, including educational program development and consultation to departmental infection control matters.
Ensures ongoing organizational compliance with regulatory agency protocols.
Demonstrates excellent service‑excellence skills at all times.
Oversees the Infection Prevention Coordinator and Infection Prevention Data Analyst.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Microbiology or related science. Master’s preferred in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology or related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in infection prevention.
Special Training: APIC Basic IC Course and Certification preparation course.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
