Job Summary
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code, demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance as a Radiologic Mammography Technologist. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician / providers practice under the supervision of the radiologists, other licensed staff, and Management.
You will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order.
Assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations.
Relaying instructions from the radiologist to your patient or authorized person.
Collecting patient data documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient’s medical record for the radiologist’s review and performing diagnostic medical imaging.
Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiolologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography.
Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills are essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety is required.
Maintain current California license in CRT.
Maintain current CPR.
Maintain current California license in Mammography.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist is preferred.
Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment is preferred.
Certification in Mammography through ARRT preferred.
Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS is preferred.

Pay Range: $44.18 - $65.71 /hour
