Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Indirect Tax Advisor through 10/17/2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Chevron is looking for a dynamic senior tax professional to join the Global Indirect Tax team. We are looking for an experienced and motivated team member willing to take on new challenges and join one of the largest Oil and Gas tax teams in the United States.
Responsibilities
Assisting with various state and local indirect tax advisory projects including sales & use and excise tax process reviews, tax implications on major transactions, audit and tax technology strategies.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
May be assigned to lead/support special projects, including integration and digital initiatives.
May oversee external engagements.
Required Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in state and local indirect tax (sales & use and excise tax).
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax.
Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
Demonstrated experience with state and local indirect tax planning, tax research, and tax analysis.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Relocation Options Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
