Provide tax planning advice and support for various Chevron upstream, downstream, and midstream businesses, with a primary focus on state and local taxation. Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis in support of the company’s state and local tax positions. Advise management and relevant stakeholders of the state and local tax implications of proposed business transactions and activities. Manage state and local tax controversies including filing formal protests, representing the company in administrative hearings, and negotiating settlements. Monitor state and local legislative and regulatory developments that impact Chevron’s businesses. Required Qualifications
Juris doctorate Minimum 6 years of U.S. state and local tax planning experience Bar admission Preferred Qualifications
LL.M. or CPA Relocation Options
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. International Considerations
Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Visa Statement
