Dobbs Equipment, LLC
Dobbs Equipment is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager (SAM). This position will be responsible for the sale, rental, and leasing of all new and used John Deere equipment and all allied products, distributed by Dobbs Equipment. The SAM will develop partnerships with current and potential clients to grow Dobbs Equipment’s market share in the assigned territory.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Sell and promote the entire product line distributed by Dobbs Equipment
Grow and develop customer relationships and loyalty to increase market share
Prospect and make cold calls to increase the customer base and market presence
Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, prepare contracts, and record and close orders
Provide on‑site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support
Maintain a contact database and call log for the designated territory
Manage market awareness and provide lost‑sales reports
Report status to the sales manager on the achievement of goals and objectives
Manage and maximize rental conversions
Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit
Control sales‑related expenses
Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals
Provide feedback to other departments
Provide trade‑in information when requested
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements
Associate’s, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent from a four‑year college, or a minimum of 3 years related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Effective communication with teammates and customers
Strong problem‑solving skills
Ability to self‑manage and self‑motivate
PC literacy, proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Able to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
Capable of performing basic math calculations in all units of measure
Quick learner able to think outside the box
Extensive driving required; overnight travel required
Physical Demands
Regular standing, hand use, reaching, talking or hearing
Walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
Occasional sitting
Regular lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 pounds
Close and color vision
