Area Sales Manager - Specialty Rental (ASM - Outside Salesperson) - Shreveport, LA Your role: We are looking for an experienced and results‑driven Area Sales Manager with a proven ability to increase revenue, grow market share, and build strong customer relationships across the specialty rental and steam solutions industries. Skilled in full‑cycle sales management, territory development, solution selling, and customer engagement.
You will:
Identify and qualify sales opportunities through job site visits, business meetings, and cold calling.
Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts.
Analyze territory trends and market data to inform strategy.
Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, solution design, quoting, negotiation, installation and post‑sale support.
Create and deliver tailored presentations that address customer pain points.
Track opportunities and update CRM (Salesforce) with high‑quality, timely data.
Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned with company goals and KPIs.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Work with technical teams to assess customer needs, size equipment and develop solutions.
Assist with onboarding and equipment training at customer sites.
To succeed, you will need:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field OR equivalent industry experience.
3‑5 years of successful outside sales experience in industrial equipment/services such as air compressors, boilers, chillers, steam generators, or HVAC.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Growth mindset and resilient approach to challenges.
Technical problem‑solving and solution‑selling capabilities.
Clean driving record for past 36 months.
Valid driver’s license.
