Senior Property Accountant

My client is a vertically integrated real estate firm in Atlanta, GA with focuses across acquisition, development, leasing, finance, construction management, asset management and property management. Responsibilities: Oversee financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of 20 – 25 properties. Responsible for conducting detailed reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for multiple properties, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Perform CAM reconciliations to ensure proper allocation and recovery of shared expenses, manage monthly accruals and prepare journal entries Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual property budgets to align with financial goals. Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with lease terms. Qualifications: 5+ years of property accounting experience must include commercial property. Yardi Voyager property management software experience (strongly preferred) Must be proficient in accrual accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and budgeting. Experience with CAM reconciliations and full cycle financial statements, required Demonstrates strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
