Position Summary Nye Square is seeking a dynamic and driven Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living and Independent Living community. This is a unique opportunity for a results-oriented leader with a strong sales and business development background to shape the culture, drive occupancy growth, and ensure exceptional service to residents and families.
The ideal candidate is an engaging relationship-builder with proven success in senior living sales, team leadership, and operational excellence. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and the value the selected candidate brings to our organization.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Marketing Leadership
Develop and execute a strategic marketing and sales plan to achieve and maintain targeted occupancy goals.
Lead the community’s outreach efforts, including networking with referral sources, hosting events, and strengthening partnerships with hospitals, physicians, senior centers, and local businesses.
Actively participate in tours, prospect follow-ups, and closing activities to drive move-ins.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to position the community as a provider of choice.
Operational & Financial Management
Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue and control expenses.
Ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness, and overall resident satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Culture
Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team aligned with our mission and values.
Foster a positive, resident-centered culture where staff feel empowered and engaged.
Provide training and coaching to build team members’ sales acumen and customer service skills.
Resident & Family Engagement
Serve as the primary community ambassador, maintaining strong relationships with residents and their families.
Respond promptly to concerns and feedback, ensuring exceptional experiences and trust in the community.
Qualifications
Proven success in senior living sales or a high-sales environment (hospitality, healthcare, luxury real estate, etc.).
Previous leadership experience in Assisted Living, Independent Living, or related senior housing preferred.
Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet prospects and community needs.
Meets, or has the ability to obtain within the first six months, Nebraska Assisted Living Administrator requirements, including completion of a state-approved 30-hour initial training (or possession of a current Nebraska Nursing Home Administrator license) and commitment to required ongoing continuing education.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Title and compensation tailored to the candidate’s experience and expertise (Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director).
