Demonstrate the ability to develop and sustain a funded research program in key areas of health informatics and artificial intelligence;
Engage in interdisciplinary work, collaborating with faculty from public health, business, computer science, engineering, and related fields to advance healthcare informatics initiatives;
Develop and maintain an active research and publication agenda;
Teach courses in areas such as health informatics fundamentals, artificial intelligence, data governance, health IT infrastructure, healthcare analytics, etc.;
Be proficient in one or more statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS, R, Stata, or Python;
Exhibit a passion for student mentoring and a commitment to participating in program development; and
Have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Minimum Position Qualifications Candidates should have an earned doctoral degree in Healthcare Management, Health Policy, Public Health, Health Leadership, Health Informatics, or in a closely related field and experience commensurate with the academic rank of Assistant Professor.
Special Conditions Candidates with desired expertise includes health information systems, artificial intelligence, patient data management (including EHR), health data analytics, interoperability, health information management, decision support systems, clinical workflows, healthcare outcomes, patient data privacy and security, and/or patient safety. The successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated teaching ability, established research trajectory, and will be required to advise, mentor, and guide students to prepare them for the workforce.
