Job Description Role:

Manager, External Manufacturing Procurement will report into the Group Lead, External Manufacturing NA Procurement and interact closely with cross‑functional Business Unit teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for up to $250MM USD of spend for Kraft Heinz within the NA Zone

Create, deliver, and execute the sourcing strategy for assigned category including analyzing market trends, identifying market developments and conduct category reviews to drive business understanding of these markets and how best to utilize the capabilities of suppliers and industry developments to deliver a competitive advantage

Champion, identify and implement novel and creative means for reducing costs, improving quality, or otherwise improving total cost of ownership

Create and implement strategies to address changing regulations (e.g., packaging sustainability, tariffs)

Negotiate contracts with suppliers ensuring the most optimal terms and conditions without compromising service or quality while closely partnering with the internal Legal team

Establish trust and build effective business relationships with suppliers for long‑term partnership

Actively monitor and manage category P&L including creating the annual operating plan (i.e., budget) & submit periodic forecast updates

Ensure the demand of required volumes for all EM sites are secured and accounted for, including future growth considerations

Ensure supply of materials and contingency plans to meet business needs by identifying potential areas of risk, recommending proposed solutions and executing once aligned with necessary stakeholders

Collaborate with the assigned set of suppliers to leverage their capabilities, achieve continuous improvement, and bring innovation to the business

Create and foster effective supplier relationships & performance accountability including conducting business reviews and ensuring that monthly quality and service targets are achieved

Identify and assess potential new external manufacturing partners for business viability including financial, quality, and product manufacturing feasibility

Execute the supplier selection process by identifying and developing suppliers capable of delivering products that meet or exceed KHC requirements, including upcoming innovation and sustainability commitments

Act as the key point of contact for Supplier Relationship Management within the zone to drive enhanced communication and performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance preferred.

Min 5 years of work experience in Procurement (e.g., EM, Indirect, Capex, Ingredients, Packaging) and Operations‑related roles. Project management experience is also desired.

Firm understanding of a strategic sourcing methodology.

Demonstrated ability to work with complex financial data.

Strong negotiation and business relationship management skills.

Understanding of the components of a legal agreement and have reviewed and negotiated commercial terms in a prior role.

Enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment with other driven stakeholders.

Growth mindset to continuously improve processes and value streams.

Natural curiosity and a desire to learn.

Excellent analytical skills for financial assessments and issue identification, along with flexible thinking to adapt to changing environments.

Knowledge or experience in food or beverage manufacturing process preferred.

Effective at establishing trust and building effective business relationships and getting things done through others.

Organizational Agility – knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels.

Priority Setting – Spends their time and the time of others on what’s most important. Eliminates roadblocks and creates focus.

Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience in SAP and ARIBA preferred.

Benefits and Compensation New Hire Base Salary Range: $102,100.00 - $127,600.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
