Our expanding boutique law firm is looking for an experienced probate, estate, and trust associate attorney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in disputes involving wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary duties and will develop expertise in a niche, high‑demand area of law.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in probate and trust litigation matters, including will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and trust modifications
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery requests/responses
Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues
Participate in mediations and court hearings
Collaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to advance case strategy
Maintain timely communication with clients and provide legal advice throughout the process
Manage deadlines and case files with attention to detail and strategic thinking
Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
Help solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assets
Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
Qualifications
Active member of the California Bar Association
Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
Compensation $115,000 - $145,000 yearly
