Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting at a Glance…. Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will play a critical role in executing the accounting and reporting for technical accounting areas within the Corporate Accounting team, including the accounting for commodities and hedging, pension and post-retirement, stock-based compensation, leasing, debt, investments, and other WHQ related matters. The person in this role will be responsible for managing the daily, monthly and quarterly accounting tasks associated with certain of the above-mentioned areas, from recording journal entries to preparing disclosures for SEC filings in accordance with accounting guidance. This position will interact with key business partners, which may include Risk Management, Procurement Finance, Treasury, Benefits, Financial Planning & Analysis, ZBB, Tax, Business Units, external consultants and external auditors. This position will perform technical accounting and SEC research in order to provide management with timely information for decision-making and analysis. The role may also assist in other significant projects, which vary based on the Company’s business transactions and priorities (e.g., new policies, training initiatives, benchmarking, acquisitions, divestitures, spins, carve-outs, etc.).

Execute and manage accounting and financial reporting for assigned areas of Corporate Accounting

Collaborate cross functionally

Provide routine and ad hoc reporting to our business partners to provide visibility

Maintain strong internal controls and related documentation

Work with external auditors

Prepare required quarterly and annual SEC disclosures to support external reporting requirements

Assist with ad hoc requests and projects related to M&A activity as needed

Research technical accounting issues and develop positions to ensure compliance with accounting rules

Monitor US GAAP and SEC developments and evaluating the impacts of new accounting and reporting rules

Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within Public Accounting

Detail oriented and organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations

Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects while operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities

Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management a plus

Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills

Ability to work efficiently and achieve high quality results

Excellent analytical, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills

New Hire Base Salary Range: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
