Amid a broader accounting transformation, the firm is seeking a Manager (or Senior Manager) of Development & Property Accounting. Reporting directly to the VP, Controller & Treasurer, this individual will provide leadership across all development and property accounting activities, oversee a growing team, and play a pivotal role in enhancing processes, systems, and reporting across the platform. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can be both a doer and a reviewer, able to dig into complex accounting detail while mentoring and developing a mixed-experience team. The position offers visibility across all business lines and the opportunity for long-term career growth as the accounting function continues to evolve. Oversee accounting and financial reporting for all active and completed development projects. Manage property-level accounting for stabilized multifamily, retail, and commercial assets. Direct fund-level and investor reporting across the company’s investment entities. Lead external audits (development, property, and fund-level) and ensure compliance with GAAP. Partner with development and construction teams on project budgets, draw processes, and capitalization. Support asset and property management teams with portfolio-level financial insight. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Collaborate with third-party and overseas accounting resources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Drive process improvement and system enhancement initiatives across Yardi, Procore, and Nexus. Present financial information and recommendations to senior leadership. 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience within real estate development, property management, or private equity real estate. ~ Strong background in both development and property accounting. ~ Proven people management experience, including mentoring and performance oversight. ~ Advanced Excel proficiency and ability to interpret complex financial data. ~ Experience with Yardi, Procore, Nexus, or comparable accounting systems. ~
