Schedule: Full-time Day Shift

Responsibilities

Directs and supervises general accounting functions for the AdventHealth encompassing Accounts Payable, Payroll, and monthly Financial Statement preparation. Oversees the accounting system, ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, manages the payroll cycle process including physician compensation/bonus calculations, fixed asset management and the annual tax reports. Compiles the annual budget, coordinates with external auditors and consultants for financial and regulatory audits, and prepares regulatory reports. Develops and implements policies and procedures for efficient operation, manages balance sheet and key metrics, leads a shared services accounting team, analyzes business metrics and resolves accounting and reporting issues. Provides leadership, communication, and liaison to internal and external stakeholders.

• Analyzes healthcare finance operating metrics and key indicators with excellent analytical skills.
• Provides leadership and support to staff, including training, guidance, troubleshooting, issue escalation, and project prioritization.
• Identifies and resolves problems in accounting and reporting processes, initiating changes to improve processes.
• Leads and supports continuous improvement activities by analyzing metrics and implementing system modifications and process changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Required.
• 3+ years in accounting, finance with emphasis on accounting practices, analysis, budgeting, management decision making and financial reporting [Required].
• 3+ years of leadership experience [Required].
• Master's Preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred.
