The Lee Group is seeking dependable and hard-working Forklift Operators to join a busy manufacturing team in Suffolk, VA. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to be part of a company where you can grow, this could be the role for you.
As a Forklift Operator, you'll support the Grinder Operator and keep production running smoothly by focusing on sanitation duties and material handling in the pit area. Your attention to safety and cleanliness will be vital to maintaining high standards across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep the sanitation area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces in the pit area to prevent contamination
- Properly dispose of waste materials following all safety guidelines
- Assist in operating machinery during the coffee production process
- Safely transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring inventory counts are accurate
- Label and store materials according to inventory procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to handle routine equipment maintenance
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (50 – 70lbs) and perform manual tasks
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
