Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Solar Retrofit Project

Location: Chatham, VA
Schedule: Day Shift | 60-70 Hours/Week

A clean energy infrastructure construction firm is hiring Journeyman Electricians for a 4.4 MW commercial solar project in Chatham, VA. The company delivers full design-build services and self-performs key trades across utility-scale and distributed energy projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform retrofit work at electrical panels
• Install and route power to inverters, junction boxes, transformers, and solar panels
• Read and work from electrical plans and schematics
• Ensure installations meet NEC and job specifications
• Collaborate with the site team to maintain workflow and safety

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience
• Commercial or solar electrical background
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems

Additional Details

• Out-of-town workers provided with hotel and $40/day per diem
• 1 month project with consistent 60-70 hours per week

Pay:$40/hr + weekly pay
