Job Overview
Tribe Lighting and Energy is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll perform lighting repairs, lighting and control upgrades, electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across a variety of commercial job sites. This is a full-time, travel-based position requiring flexibility and a commitment to delivering top-tier workmanship. Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Management and team members so as to choose the best methods to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair or upgrade lighting systems in a commercial setting.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial settings
  • Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate devices in accordance with local codes and company expectations.
  • Organize and maintain work vehicles with necessary tools, materials, and supplies so as to complete work orders in the field.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time
  • Travel to job sites as required, with frequent overnight stays (90% of the time)
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces on-site
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors and project managers on job progress and safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial electrical work
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must possess an Electrical Journeyman certification (or prepared to promptly take and pass the test)
  • Strong understanding of NEC and safety compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, and work in a variety of environments
  • Willingness to travel frequently for out-of-town projects
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Schedule

Location

This is a travel-based, multi-state, remote field role. Applicants must be comfortable with regular travel to commercial job sites.
