We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we’ll bring out the best in you. We’re builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what’s next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You’ll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What’s in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
About the Team Joule for Consultants (J4C) is one of SAP’s most dynamic AI initiatives, bringing generative and machine learning capabilities to consultants working across SAP projects. The product already serves many paying customers and continues to expand rapidly, driving tangible business impact. The team operates within SAP Business AI, working closely with platform teams such as Joule, AI Core, and GenAI Hub.
About the Role We’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives in fast-moving, highly collaborative environments. This is a senior individual contributor role, focused on bringing clarity and structure across teams and ensuring that ideas translate into high-quality, usable capabilities for customers.
You’ll help guide how new features are defined, prioritized, and delivered, balancing technical understanding with strong cross‑team communication. The ideal candidate combines SAP domain knowledge, practical AI/ML experience, and a grounded sense for how to build enterprise‑grade products efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with data science, engineering, and design teams to shape and deliver new J4C capabilities.
Partner with platform and product counterparts across SAP to ensure alignment, transparency, and smooth integration.
Translate goals into actionable deliverables, with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
Communicate effectively across levels, ensuring stakeholders stay informed and confident in direction.
Uphold a collaborative, respectful team culture that emphasizes clarity over chaos.
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of experience in product, program, or engineering leadership roles.
Strong familiarity with SAP’s ecosystem (S/4HANA, BTP, or related applications).
Experience with AI or machine learning products, ideally involving large language models or applied ML systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to drive alignment across diverse technical teams.
Proven ability to work across boundaries and manage complexity with calm, structured thinking.
A track record of making teams more effective through clarity, empathy, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in AI product delivery or data-driven enterprise solutions.
Technical or data science background with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams.
Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $220,200 – $420,000 (USD). The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent on the key aspects of each case, including education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
