You will work in a dynamic team on challenging reporting and withholding engagements across financial services sectors, leveraging tax and operations expertise to deliver advice, support, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Interface daily with superiors, peers, subordinates, and clients on large and small Information Reporting & Withholding (IRW) projects.
Interpret IRS Code and Regulations, draft guidance, analyze data, and develop requirements to help clients translate and implement tax rules.
Conduct gap analysis of client policies, procedures, and systems, and write business requirements.
Prepare documentation including presentations, flow charts, and technical analysis.
Respond to client requests for proposals and support process improvement initiatives.
Skills and Attributes
Read and interpret IRS Code, regulations, and instructions.
Strong writing skills for policy and procedure development.
Interface with all facets of the business.
Multitask and manage projects effectively.
Creative problem solving and critical thinking.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (JD, LL.M. in Taxation, or MST preferred).
Minimum 2 years of relevant tax consulting or tax operational experience.
Licensed attorney, CPA, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent certification; or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.
Preferred Experience
Active participation in industry groups such as SIFMA, ABA, or IIB.
Ability to understand and implement tax rules.
Demonstrated interest in tax information reporting and withholding work in Chapters 3, 4, and 61, or experience working with these matters.
