Program Overview Role and Responsibility The Senior AI Planning Research Scientist will solve hard, real-world planning problems requiring nothing less than state-of-the-art solutions. You'll take responsibility for accomplishing specific deliverables within a small team setting of fellow engineers. You'll communicate and collaborate with fellow team members and help guide junior staff.

Who we're looking for
Cyber: Staff with a strong interest and ideally a track record in cybersecurity research and development.
Generalists: Breadth of knowledge across multiple domains. Focus work on domain(s) of specialty or preference, but multi-domain awareness and ability required. Curiosity to learn new technology.
Tangible: Work on applied research programs to conceive and develop prototypes to solve cutting-edge, complex problems.
Education Requirements
5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA, or 0 years with PhD.
Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Skills and Experience You Should Possess
Experience developing and deploying sophisticated AI planning solutions.
Expertise in common AI planning approaches such as behavior trees, GOAP, HTN, etc.
Expertise in one or more system languages: C, C++, Go, etc.
Expertise in Python.
Expertise in designing, developing, and testing software modules related to emerging embedded cyber capabilities, high-availability network protocols, cyber mission planning, and reasoning systems.
Modern development practices and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD toolchains).
Experience running Docker containers.
Experience developing in Linux.
Passion to learn something new every day and stay up-to-date with developments in your field.
Adept at independent problem-solving and comfortable with a general approach of taking initiative to find and develop solutions.
US Citizenship Required.
Additional Desired Skills
Ability to grasp the "big picture" and see beyond specific problems.
Network emulation frameworks including CORE, EMANE, MiniNet.
Experience with networking protocols.
Familiarity with one or more assembly languages (x86/64, ARM, MIPS, etc.).
Experience with configuring network appliances.
Experience with threat intelligence research.
Minimum Clearance Required Active Top Secret, able to obtain TS/SCI.
Salary Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
