Director of Supply Chain

will lead the strategic planning and execution of EG4 Electronics’ entire supply chain operations to support its position as an industry leader in the solar technology sector. This role will oversee vendor management, procurement, logistics, inventory, demand planning, and supply chain optimization. The Director is responsible for ensuring that supply chain activities are cost-efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction goals. This leadership position will work cross-functionally across product development, operations, engineering, and finance to ensure timely delivery of materials, optimize resource allocation, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvements across the global supply chain network. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with EG4 Electronics’ operational goals and growth objectives. Lead initiatives to streamline and scale supply chain operations across sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. Drive operational excellence through KPI management, cost reduction strategies, and performance metrics. Oversee all aspects of supplier selection, onboarding, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management. Ensure vendor compliance with quality standards, SLAs, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements. Lead global sourcing initiatives to diversify the supplier base and reduce supply chain risk. Procurement & Material Planning

Oversee procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services. Collaborate with engineering and product teams on new product introduction (NPI) to align sourcing strategies with development timelines. Implement and improve demand forecasting and inventory planning tools to support manufacturing and sales. Logistics & Distribution

Manage domestic and international logistics operations to ensure efficient delivery, shipping, and freight management. Develop logistics strategies to optimize transportation costs, lead times, and customer delivery performance. Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and customs requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with product development, manufacturing, operations, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain planning with business needs. Support the go-to-market strategy with robust supply chain readiness and agility. Provide executive leadership with supply chain insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions. Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier disruptions, geopolitical events, tariffs, and compliance issues. Ensure supply chain operations adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements specific to the solar and electronics sectors. Technology & Process Optimization

Champion supply chain digital transformation initiatives, including ERP optimization, demand planning tools, and analytics platforms. Continuously evaluate and implement best practices to improve visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness across the supply chain. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including vendor management, logistics, procurement, and planning. Deep understanding of global supply chain operations, especially in the solar, electronics, or renewable energy industries. Proven success in leading cross-functional supply chain initiatives that resulted in measurable cost savings and service improvements. Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Experience managing international vendors and navigating complex global logistics. Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain planning tools, and analytics platforms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities. Physical Requirements
