Immigration Staff Attorney – Raleigh, NC
Barnes & Thornburg LLP seeks a highly motivated Staff Attorney with 3–5 years of business immigration experience to join its growing Immigration and Global Mobility Services practice group in its Raleigh office. The role reports to Immigration Partners and works with a fast‑paced group serving corporate, technology, university, financial and healthcare clients.
Responsibilities
Exercise significant discretion and apply legal research skills to formulate arguments and identify case law for business immigration matters.
Manage a large caseload, independently prioritize multiple tasks, review, draft and monitor petitions, and maintain rigorous quality control.
Provide responsive, professional client service, meet strict deadlines and handle extensive client contact.
Maintain a commitment to professionalism, customer service and teamwork with clients and internal teams.
Preferred Experience
PERM labor certification and recruitment.
Non‑immigrant visas: H‑1B, L‑1, TN, E‑visas.
Immigrant visas: EB‑1, EB‑2, EB‑3.
High‑volume case types and collaboration with paralegals.
Qualifications & Skills
Juris Doctor, licensed to practice law in NC and in good standing.
3–5 years of experience preparing business immigration applications and related matters.
Excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
Strong client interaction, detail‑oriented, time‑efficient and self‑guided.
Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize workload, meet deadlines and interact effectively with diverse cultures.
