Job Summary
A team member in a fast‑paced transactional real‑property practice represents the agency in complex construction, permanent lending, and mortgage financing of multi‑family affordable housing.
Responsibilities
Review and prepare loan documents for closing and transactions on a portfolio of active finance and development projects.
Assist program staff in developing and implementing enforcement policy as necessary.
Represent the agency in low‑income housing tax credit regulatory agreement negotiations.
Provide legal counsel to the Office of Community Renewal and Homeownership and Community Development to facilitate local programs for community improvement, acquisition, development, and rehabilitation.
Minimum Qualifications
Admission to the New York State Bar.
Two years of experience in the practice of law subsequent to admission to the Bar.
Experience with public policy, administration, real estate, finance, procurement, and/or litigation and appeals would be beneficial.
