Relief/Per Diem Sr. Sonographer Specialist (8-Hour Rotating Shifts) at Stanford Health Care Imaging Services in Palo Alto, CA. Part‑time, 8‑hour shifts, on‑site, rotating. Responsibilities
Conduct sonographic procedures under physician supervision, including vascular studies, duplex scans, and diagnostic ultrasound examinations. Document observations, capture diagnostic images, and prepare reports for physician interpretation. Maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of exams. Instruct and assist patients, explain examination process, and maintain patient comfort. Participate in research cases and adhere to infection prevention protocols. Qualifications
10+ years of progressively responsible directly related work experience in diagnostic ultrasound. Recent hospital experience required; registered vascular technologist (RVT) or registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) with 4+ specialties required. ARR‑MSK (Musculoskeletal) or ARDMS‑AB (Abdomen) registration preferred; ARDMS‑OB/GYN registration acceptable. Certifications & Licenses
ARDMS‑AB (Abdomen) or ARDMS‑OB/GYN (Obstetrics & Gynecology). RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist. At least two of: ARDMS‑BR (Breast), ARDMS‑PS (Pediatric Sonography), ARDMS‑MSK (Musculoskeletal). Physical Demands & Work Conditions
Category II tasks involving no exposure to blood or body fluids; may perform unplanned Category I tasks. Standard work conditions for sonography staff. Benefits
