Title IT Project Manager
Location Normal, IL
Duration 6 months
Job Description Schedule: M-F (up to every other weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) starting in August, but still no more than 40 hrs/week). This role is 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Program Managers, subject matter experts, and vendors to create project plans and drive tasks through critical path milestones.
Guide stakeholders through execution and close-out.
Communicate and raise concerns to leaders of subject matter experts and stakeholders when needed.
Lead implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure network service solutions (e.g., Multi-site connectivity, Data Centers, WiFi, DHCP, DNS).
Lead implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure server, data, and backup solutions (e.g., Data Centers, NAS, Backup, DR, Server Patching, Active Directory, server OS upgrades).
Partner with General Contractors during construction implementations.
Ensure requirements are captured accurately from subject matter experts and communicated to non-IT infrastructure teams.
Continuously adjust and align project plan with business and vendor stakeholders.
Document, track, and raise risks and issues while driving mitigations.
Supply immediate communications to stakeholders and sponsors on changes, risks, and delays.
Work with Program Managers and subject matter experts for resolving budget issues.
Record high-level status updates weekly.
Provide updates on Infrastructure projects to subject matter experts, business stakeholders, Infrastructure sponsors, and IT Infrastructure PMO via predefined KPIs.
Align with all Infrastructure operations teams at project close.
Core Skills
Experience partnering with General Contractors during construction implementations.
Experience leading implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure network service solutions (multi-site connectivity, Data Centers, WiFi, DHCP, DNS).
Experience leading implementation and refreshes of enterprise infrastructure server, data, backup solutions (Data Centers, NAS, Backup, DR, Server Patching, Active Directory, Server OS upgrades).
Knowledge of structured cabling systems, components, and drawings.
Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, programs, and emergency initiatives.
Clear communication with stakeholders.
Open communication with leaders.
IT Management competency with ITIL frameworks.
Customer service attitude.
Prioritization / self-management.
Objectivity in high-stress projects.
