Project Engineer - Exhaust Abatement
Join us as a Project Engineer to provide technical and project management leadership for medium to large‑scale environmental exhaust abatement projects. This role ensures projects are executed safely, cost‑effectively, and on schedule, maintaining the highest quality standards.
About Us We are an environmental solutions company that designs, fabricates, installs, and services pollution control systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones; provide progress updates in regular project meetings.
Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues when appropriate.
Manage all commercial aspects, including budgets, expenditures, payment schedules, and vendor agreements.
Adjust scope or budget changes to maintain project timelines.
Serve as the main client contact and manage stakeholder communication.
Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors and fabricators.
Oversee all logistics to ensure on‑time delivery and installation.
Conduct technical reviews of product designs to confirm compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
Plan, perform, and evaluate inspections and tests of project components, including field service and quality control visits.
Support continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the project team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
Experience or familiarity with gas abatement systems—particularly wet scrubbers—is preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and create P&IDs and PFDs involving liquid process flow equipment and instrumentation.
Experience sizing pumps, piping, and ductwork.
Proficient with engineering drawings (CAD) and mechanical design principles.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks.
Understanding of heat and mass transfer fundamentals for wet scrubbers preferred.
