As the Manufacturing Engineer Manager, you’ll champion process innovation, cost efficiency, and seamless product launches. You’ll lead a team focused on optimizing manufacturing operations, integrating new products, and driving continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in bridging technical expertise with cross‑functional collaboration to achieve business goals in productivity, safety, and cost management.
Base pay range $45.00/hr - $67.00/hr
Key Focus Areas
Spearhead initiatives to improve safety, quality, and throughput using continuous improvement frameworks.
Identify, evaluate, and implement advanced manufacturing methods and technologies.
Drive feasibility studies and pilot programs for new processes.
Lead the transition of new or redesigned products into production, ensuring readiness and efficiency.
Develop strategic capital plans for equipment and tooling upgrades.
Evaluate current equipment and tooling for upgrade opportunities.
Lead cost‑benefit assessments and implement improvement projects.
Mentor and coach engineering staff in best practices and data‑driven decision making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including team leadership.
Background in automotive manufacturing and Tier I supplier environments.
Hands‑on experience with DOE and project management in a production setting.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, poke yoke, one‑piece flow).
Proven success in driving process improvements and cost reductions.
Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance.
Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with MRP systems.
