Flexibility is required, including evening and weekend availability when needed. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the OCC, ensuring 24/7 operational readiness. Provide strategic leadership in coordinating Dispatch, Flight Following, Crew Scheduling, Maintenance Control, and operational decision-making. Maintain joint operational control with the Director of Operations and ensure regulatory compliance with Part 121 requirements. Direct disruption management, IROPs response, and system recovery effort. Implement performance metrics, reliability standards, and operational excellence initiatives. Foster cross-department collaboration with Inflight, Flight Operations, Maintenance, Customer Experience, and long-term planning initiatives. Drive SMS integration within the OCC, ensuring hazards and safety risks are identified, mitigated, and tracked. Represent the OCC in interactions with the FAA, airports, and industry stakeholders. Oversee OCC staffing, training, technology implementation, and budget management. Serve as the operational decision authority during crisis management and emergency events. Execute the operational schedule of all flights to align with the Company’s business objectives. Review information on weather, aircraft and crew availability, and anything that may impact the operation. Develop the most efficient recovery plan in the event of a disruption. Coordinate and communicate the operating plan to all responsible departments. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business, or related field (preferred). Minimum 10 years of airline operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within Dispatch, SOC, or OCC. FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (strongly preferred). Demonstrated success managing large, complex, 24/7 operational environments. Strong knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations, SMS, and airline operations systems. Exceptional leadership, communication, and crisis management skills. Ability to make critical, time-sensitive decisions under pressure. Benefits
