We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Defect Analyst to support ongoing data conversion efforts involving the Fiserv DNA platform. This role will focus on researching, triaging, and driving the resolution of system defects while collaborating with internal teams, customers, and vendor partners. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a background in data conversion or core banking systems, and the ability to translate complex issues into actionable requirements and test cases.

Roles & Responsibilities
Investigate and track data conversion defects, ensuring issues are clearly documented and resolved in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal SMEs, customers, and vendor counterparts to identify root causes and define corrective actions.
Conduct discovery sessions with customers to understand issues from their perspective and gather business requirements.
Write and manage user stories and acceptance criteria within Agile tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO).
Submit and track tickets to external vendors with the information required for resolution.
Develop and execute learning or research plans to troubleshoot conversion and data integrity issues.
Maintain the team's backlog and ensure consistent follow-up to drive tasks through completion.
Document meeting notes, requirements, and test scenarios, ensuring clear traceability and accountability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives) to support collaboration and visibility of progress.
Partner with cross-functional teams to validate solutions through testing and prepare for customer verification.
Support conversion activities during go-live or cutover events as part of the Command Center.
Act as a proxy for the team lead when needed to represent the defect management function.
Report on defect resolution status, progress, and key findings to leadership and project stakeholders.
Perform QA testing as needed to confirm fix validity prior to release.
Support continuous process improvement by identifying recurring issues and proposing remediation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Previous experience managing software defects or conversion issues in a Fiserv DNA or loan servicing implementation.
Prior experience as a Business Analyst or in a role involving requirements gathering, issue triage, or testing.
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) practices and user story writing techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect details to the broader business context.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging both business and technical teams.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple issues or workstreams simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile management tools.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation.
Demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion and follow through on commitments.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional team environments.
Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs dictate.
Desired Experience
Experience with Fiserv DNA or other core banking systems.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe certification.
Previous participation in large-scale data conversion projects.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools and structured testing processes.
