Responsibilities

The Wellness Director is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Nursing Department.

Responsible for professional development of the Assistant Wellness Director and clinical staff to develop high performance teams centered around exceptional customer service, care delivery, and teamwork.

Ensures proper staffing levels, regulatory compliance, Viva’s standard compliance, and ongoing improvement to execute company mission and vision.

Creates and maintains monthly department schedule.

Provides leadership development to Assistant Wellness Director and clinical staff.

Ensures departmental quality assurance with applicable regulations, Viva’s standards, and business performance.

Orders supplies for Nursing Department.

Works with Business Office Manager to complete interview process for prospective employees.

Meets with new nursing team members to review training and onboarding schedule.

Schedules training for new employees.

Checks in with new hires regularly to ensure orientation process is satisfactory.

Maintains on-call schedule and rotation.

Oversees management of staff attendance and performance management.

Oversees Wellness Coach and schedule of residents.

Primary: Stand up, resident rounds, transition/therapy, staffing, QA (if state required).

Oversight: Shift report, KSV Huddle.

Conducts quarterly Clinical Section of Ops Audit for QA and reviews to implement action plans and interventions.

Reviews internal incident reports and prepares regulatory incident report for Executive Director approval and submission to state or governing body per regulations.

Prepares new admission charts and readmission packets.

Maintains medical records including dismantle discharged resident charts in conjunction with Business Office Manager.

Provides oversight and guidance for chart audits.

Files overflow medical records in active or discharged resident records.

Follows up on any internal investigations of theft, abuse, medication errors, falls, etc., and collaborates with Executive Director on next steps and interventions.

Maintains incidental billing of services to residents.

Reviews monthly rent roll to assure proper billing of resident care for budgetary income.

Schedules monthly department meetings with well-planned agendas and trainings for departmental needs.

Oversees Paxxon and Blue Sky relationship.

Assists with nursing care on the floor as needed.

Upholds Viva’s foundation of care models and philosophy.

Requirements

Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations.

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

Must cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.

Must see, hear, or use prosthetics that allow senses to function adequately to meet position requirements.

Must meet the general health requirements set by facility policies, including medical and physical examination.

Must relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and agitated residents.

Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry the weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

May be necessary to assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.

Salary 70,000-80,000
