Job Description

The Agile Business Analyst will support the analysis, documentation, and validation of business and technical requirements for healthcare projects. This role works closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables, facilitate Agile practices, and contribute to continuous improvement in delivery and process efficiency. Responsibilities

Interpret business needs and issues by gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into well-defined epics, features, and user stories. Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to ensure user stories are INVEST-compliant (Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small, Testable). Define acceptance criteria and maintain traceability of requirements throughout the Agile lifecycle. Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, ensuring alignment with sprint goals and Definition of Done. Document test scenarios and coordinate defect triage and resolution with QA and development teams. Analyze root causes of system or process issues and propose iterative solutions or enhancements. Actively participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain clear and concise documentation of business processes, workflows, and system interactions using Agile-friendly formats (e.g., user story maps, process flows). Support end users with training, release communications, and adoption of system enhancements. Monitor and report project status to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables. Prioritize and manage new work requests. Research and respond to policy-related inquiries impacting Agile delivery or system behavior, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, including federal healthcare programs. Identify, document, and troubleshoot moderate to complex issues, collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective solutions and workarounds. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing, or other analytical roles. Health insurance domain experience. Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. Experience creating 10–15 user stories per week in Jira and interacting with large Scrum teams. Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps. Preferred Qualifications

Proven ability to deliver high‑quality Agile artifacts and contribute to value‑driven solutions. Strong understanding of business analysis core competencies within Agile frameworks. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
