Senior Analyst, Business – Finance Data & Analytics
Become an effective partner to Universal Orlando Finance leadership by combining business knowledge with analytical skillsets to answer complex questions and influence business decisions. Help define and optimize financial planning strategy using a variety of techniques including statistical analysis, financial modeling, robust visualizations, and data mining. Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Finance, BAIE, and Digital & Technology colleagues on analytical projects while communicating project timelines accordingly. Major Responsibilities
Use analytical perspective and business acumen to provide deep insight and innovative solutions to operational challenges that are impacting financial performance and present various findings to leadership (influence decisions by telling stories with data). Streamline financial processes to establish clarity and transparency, provide increased accuracy and efficiency, and reduce time-intensive tasks as it relates to the budget preparation and financial planning process. Support the team in the development of technological and analytically based solutions including forecasting, financial model development, and ROI’s. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information
Infrequent local travel. Long distance travel not required. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Highly collaborative with a passion to solve problems and make clients successful. Able to tell effective stories through analytics that will enhance and determine business decisions. Experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced). Capable of interacting with relational databases through SQL or cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Azure, or experience retrieving data through other BI tools. Familiar with coding languages such as visual basic (VBA), python, R, or similar. Familiar with visual analytic tools such as Tableau/Power BI. Familiar with ERP software such as SAP or BPC. Ability to handle multiple projects required and work independently in a deadline-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in one of the following fields: Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or equivalent. Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in the field or related area. Experience analyzing and summarizing large data sets to solve complex problems. Experience with financial planning and budgets. Experience writing complex SQL queries to analyze and retrieve data. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
