About the Role
As a CBRE senior accountant, you will assist the Accounts Receivable and Payable department with high-level data entry tasks. This job is part of the General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures. What You'll Do
Review billing transactions, verify the collection of payments, and send statements. Verify lockbox receipts, terminations, and security deposits. Ensure they are entered properly into the system. Post cash receipts, and review applications for open and prepaid credits. Schedule recurring billings and statements. Manage data including recording payments and tracking deposits and credits. Review invoice information, void and cut manual checks, and audit accounts payable trail. Help with paperwork at the end of the month, such as copying, organizing, and binding reports and creating and maintaining financial files for the reporting team. Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval. Evaluate and select solutions from established options. Impact the team through the quality of the services or information provided. Follow standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance. What You'll Need
High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years of job-related experience. Knowledge of accounting fundamentals. An established understanding of work routines and standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes, procedures, and systems are required. Requires intermediate problem-solving skills with the capacity to review and select solutions from available options without supervisory approval. Ability to explain detailed and complicated information within the team in a clear and concise manner. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset. General math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. or complicated information within the team. Equal Employment Opportunity
