Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Billing Accountant to join our Finance team. This position will ensure accurate and timely invoices while complying with all relevant billing regulations and company policies, on various services. If you love spreadsheets almost as much as problem-solving, this role is right up your alley.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review and issue accurate invoices including subscription-based services
Verify and recalculate charges, deductions, sales tax and discounts based on client agreements and Avalara tax software
Verify and approve freight billings on daily basis
Partner with sales, customer service and operations to resolve billing discrepancies
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal billing regulations
Prepare weekly sales report
Assist with sales tax filings and income reconciliations
Prepare weekly Concur report
Support month end billing process and assist with revenue recognition
Other duties as required
Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of sales tax in all states
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
Willingness to learn the collection process
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
2 years or more of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
Proficiency in Avalara and Concur preferred
