The Controller plays a crucial role in steering and overseeing Electrolit's accounting and financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, leading the accounting team, and supporting strategic decision-making with insightful financial planning and analysis. This role ensures the integrity and efficiency of the organization’s financial systems by establishing and maintaining comprehensive accounting procedures, internal controls, and compliance frameworks. This hands-on leadership role demands strong technical accounting expertise, sharp business insight, and the capability to excel in a fast-paced environment. Location

Houston, TX Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage trial balance and general ledger data, ensuring account reconciliations are complete and accurate. Prepare internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop, maintain, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial systems and financial reporting. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with strategic objectives. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to support decision making and financial management. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international accounting standards and tax regulations. Coordinate and manage external audits. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies during audits and filings. Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and policies for efficiency and scalability. Assist with strategic initiatives such as ERP implementations and process automation projects. Lead and mentor a team of accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of CPG industry financial dynamics, especially in food and beverage manufacturing. Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting requirements and tax regulations. Advanced proficiency in financial reporting, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to execution. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification, with experience in a public accounting firm, strongly preferred. Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Experience in the CPG or food and beverage industry is highly desirable. Other Requirements

Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites or corporate offices. Availability to work extended hours during reporting periods or audits. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Occasionally required to walk through production facilities (may involve standing, walking, or climbing stairs). Must be able to lift up to 10 kg occasionally (e.g., handling financial documents or equipment).
