Position Description
This role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and alignment of financial strategies with business objectives. It plays a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial decision-making. The controller supports business operations and develops accounting requirements for budgeted activities, client billing, and the development of business processes with related internal controls required for financial reporting purposes. Essential Functions
Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Develop and direct implementation of procedures and systems required for the orderly financial operations of the company. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Direct financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Plan and develop financial analysis and reports. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial reporting standards. Manage external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies. Supervise financial reporting, tax filings, and regulatory submissions. Manage and direct treasury functions. Evaluate operations to ascertain accounting needs and recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial issues. Investigate complex financial transactions and prepare reports summarizing the findings. Requirements
10–15 years of experience in financial management and accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior supervisory experience. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Excellent knowledge of all federal, state and local tax laws; financial accounting standards; and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Strong computer skills and knowledge of software programs. Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; Master’s or MBA preferred. CPA certification strongly preferred. Competencies

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.
