Zwicker is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, and has office locations across the United States. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Programmer Analyst to join our team in Andover. While prior experience with RPG is highly desirable, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will possess a background in programming and a willingness to learn RPG. This role involves working on various tickets, including new feature development, tool creation, and bug fixes.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and implement new features and tools based on user requirements.

Diagnose and fix bugs to improve the performance and reliability of our software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and system changes.

Provide support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in software development using any programming language.

Understanding of database management and SQL.

Willingness to learn RPG programming language and adapt to the specific needs of the role.

Strong problem‑solving skill and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.

Familiarity with SDLC methodology.

Experience with version control systems.

Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing.

Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.

Be able to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule.

Be able to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RPG.

Knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) systems.

Familiarity with agile development practices.

Physical Qualifications

Be able to lift five pounds or greater.

Be able to sit 90% of the workday at times.

Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed.

Be able to concentrate and use critical thinking.
