Description The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) faculty member to join a team of experienced general and transplant hepatology gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care, trainee and student education, and scholarly activity. The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic; perform routine endoscopic procedures; attend on the inpatient hepatology consult GI service; participate in ongoing clinical research; and assist with teaching of fellows and residents. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree
ABIM board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology by appointment start date
University will perform background checks and a health/drug screen on all new hires prior to employment
