Immigration Attorney Akerman LLP seeks an Immigration Attorney with 5 to 10 years of business immigration experience, demonstrating proven expertise in investor and employment-based visas, labor certifications, and corporate immigration compliance. The ideal candidate will have direct experience handling EB‑5, E‑2, E‑1, O‑1, P‑1, PERM, and Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing matters, as well as a strong background in I‑9, E‑Verify, and audit readiness. Preference will be given to candidates with a client‑facing background in high‑volume immigration firms or boutique practices, and those familiar with global mobility, outbound immigration, and cross‑border legal issues. Multilingual abilities such as Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, French, or Arabic are highly valued, as is supervisory experience or a demonstrated ability to mentor junior attorneys or staff. This role requires exceptional legal acumen and client service skills, with the ability to manage high‑level immigration matters for C‑suite executives and VIP clients from all global regions, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Candidates must have experience working directly with law firm partners’ clients, delivering tailored, high‑touch legal solutions with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute immigration strategies aligned with clients’ business and personal objectives.

Provide concierge‑level service to VIP clients worldwide.

Represent clients before USCIS, DOL, DOS, and other government agencies.

Serve as lead or co‑counsel on sophisticated matters, including EB‑5 Immigrant Investor Petitions, E‑1/E‑2 Treaty Visas, O‑1 and P‑1 Extraordinary Ability Visas, PERM Labor Certification, and Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing.

Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience in business immigration, including investor and employment‑based visas.

Direct experience with EB‑5, E‑2, E‑1, O‑1, P‑1, PERM, and Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing matters.

Strong background in I‑9, E‑Verify, and audit readiness.

Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school.

Bar admission or eligibility for prompt admission in the jurisdiction of the resident office location.

Multilingual abilities (Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, French, Arabic) or supervisory experience.

Location This position may be based in any Akerman LLP office, with a preference for our Miami location.
