Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional, patient-centered care in our Level One Trauma Center Adult Emergency Department. Position Summary As an RN in the Adult Emergency Department, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
Communicate effectively with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
Update and manage patient records and enter and interpret computerized data.
Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
Assist leadership team with quality improvement projects.
Job Requirements
Licensed RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Minimum 1 year of ED RN experience.
TNCC certification required or able to obtain before start date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Diploma, ASN, or BSN; ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency.
