JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing perpetual cycle counts and managing all supplemental inventory count requirements within established time frames. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains optimal stock levels, and supports storeroom organization and replenishment activities to meet the needs of internal customers and business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform perpetual cycle counts and supplemental inventory counts within established time frames Conduct material receipts, issuances, and critical/obsolescence reviews Label inventory bins and organize the storeroom according to 5S standards Maintain accurate inventory records and databases of incoming and outgoing materials Identify and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records Support accurate stock levels to meet internal customer demand Develop and maintain relationships with maintenance and management teams across facilities Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and automatic replenishment processes Promote continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and efficiency REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have SAP experience Previous experience with cycle counting Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong math skills, including practical knowledge of arithmetic applications Excellent time management and organizational abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Locus software programs Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment CERTIFICATIONS:
Forklift Certification (Preferred) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of forklift operation experience 2+ years of experience using SAP and/or Locus software 1–3+ years of experience performing cycle counts 1–3+ years of computer and database management experience
