The
Maintenance General Specialist
performs routine, repetitive, and basic tasks where precedent, methods, and processes are well established. Responsibilities include assisting with weekly moves, plumbing, and associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools. The role may involve troubleshooting equipment or facilities problems and reporting them to a supervisor. This position requires strong organization, self‑management, a moderate understanding of general job aspects, and a superficial understanding of the technical phases of the job. Simple decisions are made, with technical questions referred to experienced personnel. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a DOD security clearance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform office moves, furniture moves, and reconfigure cubicles.
Use basic carpentry skills, including framing, drywall work, taping/mudding, texture, and painting.
Install basic frame/door/closure/hardware installations.
Assist in repair and adjustment of equipment to return office furniture to proper operating condition.
Manage warehouse duties, organization, and inventory management.
Perform snow removal activities.
Qualifications
High School diploma; vocational school experience a plus.
2 to 6 years of prior experience in facilities management.
English language proficiency.
Technical Qualifications & Skills
Furniture assembly.
Carpentry skills a plus.
Facilities maintenance a plus.
Basic computer skills.
Read and interpret blueprints/drawings a plus.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and woodworking tools a plus.
