Position Summary This is a per‑diem/on‑call, non‑exempt position with benefits eligibility. The pay range for this position is $20.31/hour – $30.46/hour, determined by years of experience and departmental equity. The Cook provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors, and staff of Shriners Hospitals and must have weekend availability.
Responsibilities
Practice ServeSafe sanitation at all times.
Prepare catering functions and consistently maintain quality of food.
Prepare patient meals in accordance with specific diets and serve at meal time.
Ensure proper temperature of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Prepare cafeteria meals according to the specific menu and ensure they are served on time.
Ensure sufficient backup so the café does not run out of food.
Certification and Licensures ServSafe Food Safety Certificate Required
