Position Summary The Director of Admissions and Recruitment is responsible for operations oversight of the admissions and recruitment processes for UIW’s School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). The Director of Admissions and Recruitment reports to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Services.

Job Duties
Manage application and recruiting database.
Manage and collaborate with CRM vendor to ensure processes are running accurately; monitor data feeds, re-configure and testing changes in systems, and provide overall support for platform.
Oversee both application review and interview processes.
Train, recruit and organize interviewers participating in interview candidate days.
Coordinate the use of the national medical school application with the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS).
Serve as primary point of contact for moderate to complex inquiries, applicants, faculty, alumni, and other interested parties.
Prepare application/admissions reports to help guide strategic planning.
Complete prerequisite evaluations for DO applicants.
Train internal and external DO application screeners.
Review DO applications to ensure admissions requirements are met.
Assist with admissions committee preparation.
Coordinate communication plan for applicants and admitted students.
Ensure timely processing and completion of applicant disposition.
Serve as liaison with main campus technology personnel.
Serve as advisor for UIWSOM admissions policies.
Supervise recruitment coordinator and recruiter.
Work with recruitment coordinator and recruiter to implement all SOM recruitment activities including fairs, presentations, information sessions, virtual sessions, conferences, etc.
Coordinate readmission process for returning students.
Develop and execute presentations to prospective DO, MBS, and Direct Admit students.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong presentation skills.
Strong customer service skills with ability to maintain composure in difficult applicant conversations.
Commitment to social justice and values‑driven medical education.
Proficiency in developing online data collection tools.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to effectively multi‑task and problem solve, strategically prioritizing resources necessary for program support.
Strong organization, planning and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to take initiative and complete projects and/or assignments with little or no supervision.
Strong MS Office skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
Strong skills is using social media for effective marketing.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team‑based, faith‑driven multi‑cultural environment with dean’s staff, peers, and full‑time and community‑based faculty.
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
Required Work Experience
Eight (8) years of administrative experience to include at least three (3) years of experience in a student support role in higher education. Note that up to two years of additional education will be considered on a year for year basis for required experience.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in an office setting to include professional level staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in relevant field.
Admissions and recruiting experience at a professional school, preferably in an osteopathic medical school.
Experience with Ellucian Banner database.
CRM experience.
Experience with centralized application services (CAS).
Experience working with admissions databases.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None specified.
Work Hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially during peak periods and events, to meet departmental goals.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 25lbs for set‑up/tear‑down at events.
Ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat to retrieve event materials.
Ability to push/pull event wagons holding up to 50lbs.
Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
