Position Summary The Director of Enrollment for the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS) is responsible for providing leadership for all marketing, recruitment and admissions operations within the SRS at the masters level, doctoral level and residency programs. The Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Academic Success- SRS.

Travel This position requires regular travel (25-30%) primarily within the state of Texas with some travel within the US.

Job Duties Strategic Planning

Develop, implement and assess the effectiveness of a marketing/recruitment plan for all programs within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Meet or exceed new student enrollment goals.

Generate monthly summary reports culminating in an annual report.

Monitor and report regional, national and international trends in health professions education as they relate to admissions.

Recruitment

Create and/or update recruitment materials, including website.

Develop a communications plan in collaboration with other university offices.

Manage social media campaign(s).

Develop and implement holistic admissions processes and other innovative strategies, in collaboration with the various Admissions Committees, to optimize admissions and matriculation to ideally result in a diverse student body.

Participate in community and UIW programs to create and manage robust pipelines for programs within the school.

Plan and/or attend recruitment functions to include recruitment fairs, individual and group presentations, and open houses primarily within Texas and occasionally outside of Texas within the US.

Coordinate recruitment initiatives with faculty, staff, students and alumni.

Hire, train and supervise student ambassadors in the delivery of recruitment efforts.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Processing and Records Management

Review Centralized Application Services (CAS) applications received and communicate via the various CAS utilized by the school.

Track applicants applying under various pipeline programs to include but not limited to Direct Admit, Cardinal Soar, and various MOUs with other higher education institutions.

Utilize CRM Recruit management system to develop a robust communication plan with prospective students and to serve as a conduit between CAS systems and Banner.

Process all applications for admitted students in Banner Student Information System.

Work with university offices to successfully matriculate students.

Maintain prospective student database and counselor/adviser database and establish regular communication with both, including the explanation of admissions requirements and student transfer credit policies.

Work collaboratively with Admissions Committees on the selection of candidates.

May serve as an ex-officio member of the Admissions Committees.

Customer Service

Provide information and advice to prospective students.

Assist prospective students/applicants with questions; troubleshoot problems related to admissions.

Disseminate information to accepted students including matriculation packet, orientation dates, Big/Little matches and other related information.

Create a discussion board/MS Team for each cohort.

Event Planning and Participation

Plan, lead and coordinate interview days and follow-up processing.

Plan and execute virtual and in-person open houses and other recruitment events.

Provide assistance for orientation, commencement and other events/functions offered through the Office of Academic Success and Student Affairs.

Perform other duties related to the essential functions of this position.

Supervision of Staff

Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate assigned employees for SRS.

Develop expectations and goals for assigned employees and monitor progress.

Annually manage the selection of student employees under the Ambassador program and oversee their work.

Manage hiring and payroll paperwork as needed.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of enrollment management/ marketing strategies.

Strong organization and customer service skills.

Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to execute presentations.

Ability to communicate clearly face-to-face and on the phone.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint or related, Outlook, Teams, as well as ability to effectively learn specialized systems.

Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet or exceed deadlines.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to take initiative and work effectively individually and in a team setting with minimal direction.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education Master’s Degree; note that a Bachelor’s Degree with an additional two (2) years relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree.

Required Work Experience

Eight (8) years of progressive experience in recruitment, admissions, or other relevant student support work experience to include success in meeting student recruitment goals.

Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a professional office setting.

Two (2) years of experience in the development and implementation of a marketing and recruitment plan.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Recruit, Banner and Centralized Application Services.

Experience with masters or doctoral level admissions.

Required Certifications, Licenses Or Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Driver’s License must have real ID designation, as required for air travel.

Work Hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially in the planning and execution of events, to meet departmental goals.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 25lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events.

Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve marketing materials.

Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 50 lbs.

Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.

Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.

Ability to navigate airports with recruiting materials.
