About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic

Partnership and Product Counsel

to join our growing legal team. In this role you will provide expert legal guidance to the product, marketing, and technology teams, helping shape compliant, high‑performance programs for our consumer lending products and direct mail campaigns. The ideal candidate is a proactive, business‑minded lawyer who operates comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels, delivering clear, actionable advice to executives and hands‑on teams. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary legal advisor for product development, marketing initiatives, and new features, ensuring compliance with fintech and consumer credit regulations. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements related to the acquisition and servicing of various asset classes. Build, analyze, and structure complex partnerships. Advisory on marketing and advertising, with deep expertise in digital and direct mail campaigns, to mitigate legal and regulatory risks. Collaborate with Risk, Product, and Partnerships teams to design and execute compliant, high‑performance programs. Stay informed on regulatory changes in consumer lending and credit to proactively address legal risks. Provide clear, actionable legal advice that balances risk with business objectives. Requirements

Qualified attorney in the United States (preferably NY). 6+ years of in‑house or law‑firm experience, preferably in consumer credit or financial services. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, with minimal external counsel support. Deep familiarity with US consumer credit/lending regimes (FCRA, GLBA, TILA, etc.). Strong judgment and initiative in developing practical, business‑first solutions. Expertise in direct mail marketing—list selection, testing, regulatory nuances, and execution. Experience working cross‑functionally with Risk, Product, and Growth teams. Analytical acumen and ability to monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities. Assertive, results‑driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. Fluent English (written and spoken). Compensation Range for New York‑Based Hires : $200,000 – $240,000 USD Our Team
