Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated

Piping Project Engineer

to join our multidisciplinary engineering team based in Lake Mary, FL. In this role, you will design and manage piping systems for gas turbine power projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, project contracts, and schedules while collaborating with vendors, internal teams, and the parent company to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design piping systems and create specifications to generate Bills of Materials (BOM). Review P&IDs, isometrics, and mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance. Conduct technical evaluations of piping commodities and vendor equipment. Perform pipe stress analysis and ensure compliance with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 codes. Develop engineering schedules and manage project deliverables from concept to completion. Review contracts and ensure vendor compliance with scope, quality, and pricing. Procure piping equipment and materials; interact with vendors and manage documentation. Prepare technical specifications for piping components, supports, and special elements. Support integration with design and stress analysis teams. Participate in project kick‑off meetings and maintain master document lists. Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformance and improve quality. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 4–10 years of relevant technical experience in piping design and project engineering. Proficiency in ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping codes. Experience with procurement, pipe stress analysis, and BOM generation. Strong understanding of piping materials, hardware, and layout. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Experience with 3D modeling software, especially SmartPlant 3D (SP3D). Familiarity with Section II, PCC, MSS‑SP, PFI Codes, welding, and NDE processes. Industry experience in Gas Turbines, Power Plants, Oil & Gas, or Paper Mills. Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year.
